Meet the Divas
Kat Sahr
Vocalist-Soprano/Alto
Kat can make you dream with her sultry tones or knock your socks off belting hard rock. She has lived her entire life in the Pacific Northwest and began performing as a vocalist when she was a small child. Kat has an interest in many different musical genres which is evidenced by the bands that she has been in, among them, a Route 66 band, blues/rock, classic rock, 60's Review, several Acapella groups, a jazz trio and jazz group, a duo and a Soul Band. Kat has also performed as an individual soloist and in musical theater and has been know to fool even her closest friends with her Marilyn Monroe impersonation. (Ask her about that, it's a great story.) But Kat's greatest love of all is harmony and the Doo Wop Divas is right up her alley.
Sue Shelton
Vocalist-Soprano
Raised in a musical family, Sue and her siblings performed from a very young age in the Puget Sound Region as well as California, singing in gospel music festivals, night clubs and for private parties and weddings. After relocating as an adult to Southern California, she performed frequently in Las Vegas and in several Southern California casinos. She has been in many bands over the years covering rock, folk and gospel, and for many years she headed her own country music band. She also played the role of Christie McVie in a popular, well known SoCal Fleetwood Mac tribute band for several years. Sue recently returned to her home state of Washington and is thrilled to be singing one of her favorite genres of music - Doo Wop -and she's especially tickled to be doing so with her two favorite peeps - her beautiful and talented sisters.
Karen Mellott
Vocalist-Soprano/Tenor
Karen's favorite past time has always been singing harmony. Born into a musical family with Karen being the youngest, she looked up to her older siblings and wished she could be on stage with them. That wish came true and she has performed not only with them but with many others including a jazz tour in Europe. She has performed with trios, choirs, and bands since she was a child. While attending college, Karen performed in musicals while she attended music theory and business accounting courses. She has a wide variety of taste in genres including gospel, jazz, rock, blues and country. You can hear Karen's high lilting notes as she joins her vocals with her two amazing sisters-Sue and Kat.
